CertifiedGreenBiz · how it works
Your path from inputs
to a checkable record.
Start with a practical carbon assessment. Build the evidence needed for a clearly scoped CGB certificate and public verification record.
This page replaces the earlier PowerRoom energy-review offer. No engineering, energy-saving service or C$1,500 assessment is offered here.

01 / Owner/operator inputs
Define what is included.
Record the reporting period, included locations and operations under your control. Answer the source questions and enter activity quantities. Estimates and unknowns stay visible.
Owners/operators are responsible for accurate reporting. CGB remains responsible for its method and the claims it publishes.
02 / Calculate & review
Resolve the gaps.
The calculator shows quantified emissions and an illustrative credit quantity. A complete requirement is withheld where coverage or factors need review. Scope 3 and unsupported sources are explicitly disclosed.
The planned review checks the boundary, factor suitability and evidence before accepting an inventory for certification.
03 / Credit retirement · planned
Document the actual transaction.
After approval, the planned service will arrange eligible credits on a subscriber’s behalf and retain retirement evidence identifying the project, registry, serial numbers, quantity, beneficiary and covered period.
Suppliers, eligibility rules, fees and customer authorization must be finalized. An estimate, payment or credit purchase alone is not retirement.
04 / Certificate & profile · planned
Publish only supported claims.
An approved certificate should link to a QR verification record and business profile with its scope, reporting dates, review basis and retirement evidence.
Issuance, corrections, revocation and public registry updates need the backend workflow. Staging does not issue real certificates.
Documents without signup friction
Enter the essentials.
Keep the supporting records.
No document is required to try the calculator. You can upload optional sample bills or records privately after login, or retain originals for a later evidence request.
Evidence is requested when needed.
The planned review may ask for specific records to resolve gaps before approval. A deadline will be stated with that request; there is no blanket 15-day rule in this preview.
Uploading alone never changes an assessment to “verified.” Current staging uploads expire after 30 days; retain your originals.
Proposed membership schedules
Keep records ready for renewal.
Monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly reporting checkpoints per site. The reporting period and certification scope are agreed separately; a checkpoint does not automatically issue a certificate or retire another year of credits.
Proposed · per site
Monthly
12 reporting checkpoints / year
Refresh activity records, flag missing information and report operational changes.
Service scope, review coverage and pricing must be confirmed before enrollment.
Proposed · per site
Quarterly
4 reporting checkpoints / year
Refresh activity records, flag missing information and report operational changes.
Service scope, review coverage and pricing must be confirmed before enrollment.
Proposed · per site
Half-yearly
2 reporting checkpoints / year
Refresh activity records, flag missing information and report operational changes.
Service scope, review coverage and pricing must be confirmed before enrollment.
Proposed · per site
Yearly
1 reporting checkpoint / year
Refresh activity records, flag missing information and report operational changes.
Service scope, review coverage and pricing must be confirmed before enrollment.
No subscription checkout or pricing is active. The initial assessment, review service, credit costs and renewal terms must be clearly priced before enrollment.
Membership describes participation.
Current, paused or expired membership shows whether a site participates today. Paying for membership is not proof of verified emissions or retired credits.
Evidence describes a specific period.
A completed record keeps its original scope and dates after membership expires. Corrections or revocation must remain visible, and old evidence does not cover new periods.
Clear limits protect the meaning of certification.
CGB is a proposed private program, not GHG Protocol certification. The current calculator is preliminary and does not produce a complete GHG Protocol inventory. No whole-business carbon-neutral claim follows from a subtotal, a directory listing or credit illustration.
Energy-bill savings and refrigeration engineering are outside this revised offer. Older fictional energy examples in the directory are labelled as legacy demonstrations.
